Frequently asked questions

How much is an Ajrak shawl or chaadar?

Our Ajrak chaadars start at Rs. 2,320. Multi-block designs cost around Rs. 3,520, and sitara-embellished pieces cost more (PKR, October 2026).

What size is an Ajrak chaadar?

Our lawn chaadars are usually about 2.5 metres long and 42 to 44 inches wide, enough to wrap over the shoulders or wear as a large dupatta. Our men's single paat cotton Ajrak shawl is 92 by 34 inches.

Does Ajrak colour bleed?

A little, in the first few washes. Natural and organic dyes can release some colour at first, so wash separately in cold water and keep it away from lighter clothes.

How do I care for chaadars with sitara or gotta work?

Dry clean if you can. If you hand wash, use cold water and mild detergent, do not wring or scrub embellished areas, and iron on the reverse side on low heat.
